The series depicts the story of four sisters around a family, who lost their father and tries to rise up in society.Ganga, Kaveri, Yamuna and Narmadha are four sisters who are very fond of each other. Their father Santhanam has returned home after earning money by working abroad. They have a wellwisher who runs their family while Sandhanam is away.Kaveri is a brave girl; Nivin falls for her after seeing her at a festival. Ganga, her elder sister, is being loved by her cousin, Kumaran. Ganga is hesitant to express her feelings when Kumaran’s family comes to ask for an alliance. She tells her father that she doesn’t want to marry him, so Santhanam finds another groom for her.
